i need a push

I'm supposed to be on my way into the city to purchase some makeup for a fashion shoot I'm excited to be involved with this Friday.  But, I've gotten sidetracked.  Again.  My husband tells me lots of creative people are like this and he suffers from the same thing - so, I guess I shouldn't be too hard on myself and embrace it (?).  Still, it makes me a little crazy.

I've been taking some stills and practicing with my newly fixed SX-70 {go to photo tech in nyc - and ask for Jose} , using Impossible Project's PX Push Color Shade Film.  It is a little challenging.  There's more involved than just point and shoot.  But, if you go by their 8 step suggestions, it really does make quite a difference.  It definitely seems to produce better results if you're in a warm place, with tons of light.  I don't think I gave it enough light - which is why I didn't get much color {except for the last shot}.   Also, I was given the Impossible Cold Clip for my birthday, which is a great accessory for this film.  Just shield the shot from light, pop it in the clip and warm it up!

Tomorrow a friend is coming to visit, so hopefully I'll get more practice with shooting portrait/figure type images.

OK - OFF TO FIND SOME LIPSTICK SHADES FOR FRIDAY! {no, really.}
